The 23rd prompt for the Author Blog Challenge is:
If a Hollywood agent were to come knocking on your door with an offer to turn your book into a movie and told you that you could call all the shots, who would you have direct and star in it? Write the first paragraph of Roger Ebert’s review of your film.
This might seem odd, but I would rather an Australian director come and want to turn my Jimmy James stories into a TV series for ABC3 rather than a movie, however the Accidental WAHM stories would be good movies.
Ever since I read this prompt, I’ve been trying to think of some actors who would be good in these and none came to mind easily. Ideally it would be Aussie actresses who are real. What does that say for the state of the Australian film industry that I can’t think of anyone….
When I started this prompt, I didn’t even know who Roger Ebert is!! If you want to know, click here. The Aussie equivalent would be Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton. I hope they would enjoy the movie. I haven’t watched At the Movies enough to know what they would say! I know they don’t review kids shows.
It’s funny, most of the reviews of kids TV seem to be done by adults who don’t understand their market… so I’m not sure what people would think. Hopefully the reviewers would enjoy them, however for the most part, kids TV shows, especially those on ABC3 don’t seem to be reviewed!
I’m not sure if I’ve quite met the prompt or not and this is all a bit rambling, but it’s fun dreaming of possibilities of things that could happen once my books have been published, especially as it’s something I haven’t thought about yet…
